Will the Dana 30 front from a XJ bolt in to a ZJ? Need to know for my brother, he grenaded the axle in his ZJ and I have an XJ front laying around, not sure if it will work though.

XJ Dana 30's are High Pinion. I believe that ZJ Dana 30's are low pinion.

I transplanted the HP Dana 30 into my TJ earlier this year with no major issues. I can't see this being anything other than good for your brother unless perhaps he is running a stock ZJ.

The lower control arm brackets on the HP 30 will not have the elongated holed to adjust the axle alignment. I tore one off after the swap while wheeling Blanca Peak trail here in Colorado, and replaced them with the adjustable brackets from Blue Torch Fab.

The axle will bolt in...However if your bros ZJ had a v8 then it has 3.73 gears b/c v8's come tow prepped factory ,and the XJ most likely is stock 3.55 gears.
