AW4 Issues
let me first start out by saying the AW4 is in my YJ, it does not have any electronics hooked up. My old AW4 took a dump so I swapped in a different one. But now it will not stay in park nor go into any gear. Linkage is working perfect, have proper fluid level and torque converter seated properly when installed. The guy I got the tranny from said he stole the torque converter lock up solenoid but when I dropped the pan they all seem to be there. Any suggestions??

park, neutral, and drive should all be linkage controlled. Individual gears and T/c lockup are electronic. Sorry don't have much more then that.

What do you mean by it won't stay in park?

It rolls on an incline, I knowthe linkage and shifter are working properly. I have have gotten a 21 spline earlier AW4 instad of a 23 therefore the case and tranny are not engaging at the splines.
