d35 or chrysler 8.25?!?!?!
ok workin on my brand new to me project xj....i have two 87 stock and lifted 88...so i have 4.11 in the d35 in the lifted one but 3.55 in the front d30...was just going to steal the gears out of my parts jeep but its a 8.25.
so which axle is stronger? should i just swap the two? also will my lift stuff work with the 8.25 axle? |

There is no smidge about it, the 8.25 is the stronger of the two by far. Your lift stuff should work, except for the u-bolts for the D35, the 8.25 has larger axle tubes.
