Im sure its here somewhere, but I couldnt find it...
What lift spring ( height) are guys using to run a Gm dana 60 SUA on a CJ?
Probably be running a 39.5-40 tire I think...
I have some Yj 3.5 lift springs, but they dont look like they would be tall enough.. I just want to get a basic idea on spring height needed, without changing anything on the body( IE. highline and such)...Thanks
I think you will need a couple inches more lift unless you plan on trimming a lot of sheet metal. Are you running tube fenders or have you trimmed any yet?
Not sure if this helps but I am running a Ford D44 front SUA with 3.5" lift springs in my YJ. I currently run 36" TSLs and I have plenty of room. The only problem I am having is at full stuff and turn my front tires are hitting my fenders which are cut back to the inner fender. If you used these springs with a 2-3" stretch then I think you can run 39-40s.
Here's a pick of where I am at on this one...I said CJ too keep it easy, but the commando is the same as a CJ in the front...I bought it and put a cj nose on it..Its already SOA on Cj springs with 33's...I may just keep it SOA for the ease of it..I have a 14 bolt and a SRW GM 60 for it(I know Id have to shave the 14 bolt to make any of this work)...But I was curious If I could make my YJ 3.5" lift springs work spring under since they are in good shape..But SOA it would just be too tall w/ 3.5" 's...
