Does anyone know if they make a locking hub conversion kit for the front axels on Rubicons (Dana 44's). Im looking for a manual locking hub kit to disengage the front axels when its not in four wheel drive.
That's not Warn's kit. That's the Alloy USA copy of the Milemarker which a copy of Warn's. I guess Rugged Ridge needed a place to dump their knock-off Ranger hub locks.
In all reality, why even do it? If you want better fuel mileage, $1500 bux is a lot of money to brake even on, let alone start paying for itself. If you want more beef, swap to reid knuckles, ford outers, redrill or get rear axles with matching pattern, and new wheels, or swap inner Cs and put whatever outers on. I really don't see the benefit of just swapping to free-spin. What exactly are you hoping to get from this besides disengaging the front axles when in 2wd?
Travis..
it can be debated that anyone who would put that kinda money into ANY TJ front axle should be forced to eat that money and shit it out before they spend it on upgrading the axle rather than replacing...
