I like to sink my Jeep in water and for some reason Chrysler decided not to include a breather tube from the 42RE in the WJ's; instead they just drilled a hole and left it. So...since my transmission only has a year or two left on it I really don't see the point in dropping and doing the breather up right by plugging the factory breather and tapping a new one.
Does anybody know if I could somehow use a plumbing connection to get a good seal and run a tube from it if I can reach it without dropping the tranny? OR has anyone insanely plugged up their breather and never worried about it again? Dunking a hot tranny in water is probably the most important time it needs to vent pressure so I'm really not wanting to risk closing it up.
Thanks.
