I got a 91 yj im almost done with the engine swap and i was thinking what if i run SUA instead of SOA and 42s...i already have waggy springs in the front and xj in the rear...but i can just make a bastard pack with my old lift
i have seen a yj that low but with coilovers not with leafs...you guys think it would work and flex good enough?
I would do it. It would be really stable and if I remember right Matt Burkett did it with the AGR jeep way back in the day. It was a CJ but you get the idea.
As long as you're willing to cut the tub and the hood, sure. Other than that, you're biggest issue will probably be steering.
You'll also need to run a fuel cell, clock your TC, and try to soak up as much clearance as you can anywhere you can. (Boat sides, flat belly skid, etc.)
I'm working on something similar right now (paused due to brokeness,) but XJ bastard packs front and rear.
