I searched but could not find anything just like my dilemma.
I am having the usual problem with my multifunction switch leaving my fog lights on. This is my second multifunction switch, I have read that the aftermarket ones are the exact same as the factory install and aren't any better. This has been my experience too.
I read on a couple of other forums about bypassing the multifunction switch and using a toggle switch to operate the fog lights. I followed the instructions using the white with orange trace wire from the harness on top of the steering column. I discovered however that on my 05 Rubicon the white with orange trace is for the parking/running lights and not the fog lights. I have repaired this situation and am back at square one. Anybody out there knows what wire actually does operate the fog lights? OR, am I pulling the white/orange from the wrong harness?
