Anyone gone from TBI to multi-port on a 4?
Looking to see who has gone from a TBI to multi-port injection on a 4 cylinder, and what kind of power increase it gave.
I'm not looking for big engine performance, just something that has a bit more OOMPH than the stock 4 cylinder/TBI setup gives. 5-10hp would be awesome. Who has done it and what did it take to do it? |

Jeep used a 4cy, 2.2L multi-port in '88. Engine was a Renault. Maybe adapt this to yours?

Check out the 4banger Jeep forum. http://4bangerjp.com/forums/
I really don't see any cost benefit for such a swap. I wheel a 2.5l auto 97 TJ. Best cost investment I have done is gearing. Not enough just in the axles, need more in the driveline. It won't win a lot, but it runs and is cheap.

I honestly don't care about cost effective. If it gives off a few more HP, that's all it really needs, and since i'm keeping it for a long time, might as well make it all that much more enjoyable to drive

Jagular7-are you a member over on 4bangerjp? I've been trying to register over there for a couple of weeks now and every time I try it says "registration has been disabled" or something to that effect. I guess I just smell funny and they don't want me over there
