Grooving deeper tread into TSLs...
So I got a good deal on some 33x12.5's on some alloy wheels today but one of the tires is kinda low on tread...doable for the next year or so but after that it's gotta go. I know that people have grooved deeper voids into their biased tires in the past...just wondering if I have much play with the radials to get a little extra longevity out of this tire to use mostly as a spare (going to get two or four new tires eventually).
I'm going to have to groove the center lugs anyway...may as well see if I can't get a little extra tread out of it at the same time. |

This is what I've been reading since I asked this...it was a smoking deal and the wheels alone are probably worth the price, and the other three are about half the factory tread so it's still a deal. I might just buy a couple new tires and run one of the three as a spare, trashing the 4th once it goes.
