teraflex SYE issues
Real fast fellas, having some issues getting the sprocket gear and splined assembly to seat properly to get the internal snap ring in on the new shorter output shaft. I noticed the splined part did not fall on, but went easily with a slight tap.
Anyone had this issue or do i just need a bigger hammer? The last one i did on my TJ went smooth as butter, but this one is fighting me. Its going on a 95 YJ. Normally I would just beat the hell out of it, but this is a customers rig. ![]() Thanks guys.

ok, think i found the problem. There is not enough of a relief groove on the shaft for the splines to seat all the way against the face.
![]() There is also no chamfer on the internal splines. ![]() Is it common to have to modify these things to fit? I plan on taking this into work tomorrow, throwing it up on the mill and puttin a 45 on the internal splines so they wont hang up on the radius on the shaft.
