ok i got 2 danna 44 rears out of a early cj5 with 5.38 gears i was wanting to know is i can put them in a waggy dana 44 i beleve i can but before i try and realize i cant i want to ask thanks in advance

early Dana 44s from cj5s were 19 spline 2 piece shafts, you wouldn't want to use the carriers.

He didnt ask about the carrier he asked about the gears.

Considering that the Waggy axles probably don't have the right carriers for 5.38's it's not a bad assumption that the carriers are wanted also.

Yes, the gears will work. No the carriers won't. All bases covered now.

i was not worried about the carrier it is getting a detroit just the gears so thanks for the information

The carrier break is 3.73/3.92. Just make sure you get the correct locker and you'll be good to go.
