Just coming back from the D day.....
Since I have dunes 1,5 hrs from home that was the terrain for the first test on the real world.
All I can say is that I´m very happy with the result.
Only problem was a shitty weld on the front diveshaft, so it was an all 4x2 day....but that was more funny !
The engine worked great, excellent response, no leaks, no overheating and nice power.

Well here a video from the day...again all you will see was in 4x2 mode...

Can you tell me what kind of mufflers do you running? I am looking for new mufflers for my CJ-7 with a LQ-4...Thanks in advance

Fabuloso! Excellent! Amazing workmanship/craftsmanship. (Willys LS on the hood, tubular step/rock rail, etc) The front stretch is so subtle that I had to go back a read from page 1 to see how you did it.

The proportions/wheelbase came out great!

With removing a leaf from the springs, did your tires start to rub?

I love old flat fenders. I now know what my next project is gonna be! I would love to check that thing out! Its a long drive though.

Great job! My new favorite jeep! Thanks for all the pics and vids! I was waffling back and forth about buying a 43 gpw from a local guy. You just sold it for him. Any regrets?

Go and get it !!!.....however...if you want something fun to drive, you will need to discard 90% of the stock parts

Up front yes, but nothing that you can´t live with.
BTW, the Fox shocks (all 4) where dialed at #30 stack on compress and #90 on rebound

(they came like that from the seller).....now I´m running #60 compress / #55 Rebound in front and 55/55 at the rear. This week end I will test again.

I had planned to use a vortec 4.3 sm465 atlas combo, and toyota 8 inch axles. Now I really need a v8. Maybe Ill go with a ford 302 because its a ford gpw? Im not sure now. your jeep has changed alot of what I was thinking! I LOVE the videos! Thanks again!

This Jeeps are pretty light, so most of the time a V6 will do the job just fine.
I went with the V8 conversion, beacause I ride a lot at the dunes. Especially in the north of Chile, you have mountains of sand where horspower and torque is the name of the game.

Second vid is on 4x4.....no way to do that bowl in 4x2 on a jeep.

I went to look at my new project. Its going to need alot of work! I am going to scrap most of it. Im going to build a frame similar to yours. I love how clean and simple it is! Do you have any regrets or anything else that you might do differently?
