Still need to paint, but more than that is done. I added a Currie Antirock to help with the suspension twist under heavy pedal.

Next friday should be the D day
Only things left: radiator and oil cooler intall. Exaust it´s gonna be next week headache..... I´m more exited than the day I got married...I want to drive this shit NOW !

What did you do in regards to the VVT of the LY6? I know alot of people delete it, but is that only if they are swapping cams? With the Nelson tune, how much HP are you gaining (guess is fine)

Were those 3/4" thick clevis mounts that you use for the tow bar inserted into the 2x4 tube and welded on the back side for more strength?? or did you just weld them onto the front of the bumper? Last edited by imaldini; 05-01-2011 at 06:06 PM. |

Finally today, after 2 weeks that I tried to start the engine, the beast is ALIVE !!!!!!
![]() I checked 3 times the harness, plug by plug, I studied that fkng wiring scheme every day, and nothing. At the end, Nelson Performance sended me another ECM plus the HP Tuners software. I couldn`t reach Allen Nelson today, so I decide to start playing with the HP Tuners by my self. Was not that difficult. I was able to edit the "new" ECM, disable both VATS...and voila It started right away. Sooo....I don`t know why, but NP sended the first ECM locked ![]() Now I need to wait until they send the new Performance file and load it on the ECM. Hopefully I will drive it on thursday ![]() Here a video of the second start YouTube - ly6 running

Just to have my post updated, I will put here what I posted at Generals Forum
Finally today I was able to test the new engine. It`s a 2007 LY6, with LS3 intake and injectors, Air aid, Gibson headers, dual Magnaflows and Nelson Performance Tune. The upgrade was not that easy as I thought it would be. First, since I wanted to keep the VVT, I had to change the harness for a Gen IV wiring. Then I had trouble with the first ECM, I dont know why, but it arrived without the VATS removed Then they sent me another ECM, but this time I decide to purchase the HP Tuners to makes thing easier and faster. I was able to remove both VATS of the new ECM and voila, it started. I uploaded the tuned file and thought I was done...but...the engine was not running ok...not good pedal response, and poor performance....scanned with the HP Tunner and discovered the values for LTFT`s waaayyy to negative. I sent the file back and they found the problem....injectors flow rate was still stock 29#... Well, changed the values to 40# and immediately the engine woke up....
