I don't know why, but of all things I like the picture of it driving down the paved road.......
GREAT work. It's nice that you have kept the thread updated since it was 'done'

Out off all the off road pics , moving and at rest you know how the jeep must feel. But the photo of him driving one handed, leaning back relaxing with one foot out of the door shows just how truly amazing of a jeep it is. Not only is this totally bad ass off road but the look and obvious comfort on his face and body posture show just how it feels to drive it. Total trust and comfort show what a joy that amazing beast is. I'm jealous!

I agree on that pic, I like it too. It was inspired in a picture I saw years back of Cappa`s Flatfender, rolling down the highway on a rainy day. How confort and safe is to drive the little Willys ?...Well...my wife just got back after commuting 45 minutes to pick up my daughter at a friend`s house....she loves to drive the Jeep ![]() It`s 100% street legal and I use it at least 4 days of the week for going to work.

Really? Almost a daily driver!? That's awesome! What to the guys at the office say when the get in their mini vans and Hondas? Lol I drive mine everyday but I work at a jeep dealer, we all have jeeps. I have a video of mine cruzing down the road going to what's left of fort holabird (ww2 jeep testing coarse) but its not as classy as your pic.
The pic of Cappa's cj is on of my favorites.

HEy some quick questions...
On the intake elbow, where do you get that? I'm talking about right where it connects to the throttle body. Also what throttle body did you use? Any part #'s? And on the wheelbase issue, If you could have kept it stock length would you have? Or do you like the extra 3"? I'm in the point at my build where I extend it now or not. I am worried my stock wheelbase if I go to 37's will be too short, any input?

i stretched mine almost 2" in the front and about 5/8" in the rear, and it still feels short on 32's!

Yup, I am at 85-85.5" on mine with 35s. Mine sits REALLY low.....and it still feels a little bit short. It doesn't really feel bad at all, it just feels short. I think the key is keep it low....but that isn't as easy as it looks!
For 37s I would probably stretch the 'belly' portion of the tub 3" and then move the rear back another 1". That would give me just about a 90" wheelbase. I think Svaras nailed the stance on his for the tires/wheelbase/width/etc. Mine is kind of mutant low, small, and narrow in comparison.

Sorry for not answering before, but I was without internet. I bought the elbow from intekahoses.com Here`s the link: http://intakehoses.com/Merchant2/mer...gory_Code=9DEH I used the stock LY6 TB with a LS3 intake. Regarding the WB, I like the extra 8" (mine is 89") but if I could do it again I would add another 8-10" at the door. Reason for this is better ride, more stability while descending dunes and the possibility to bolt a 4L80E instead of the TH350.

Congratulations on being selected for the Adventure. You will be driving the coolest vehicle they have ever had on the series. Can you tell us where the adventure will take place this year and when? You are going to make my old Willys look antiquated but am looking forward to wheeling with you soon.
