I'm in the process of finishing my 2 1/2 year cj2a build.
I started with a 46 2a, used the stock frame, boxed it in and built new mounts. I threw in a 4.3L tbi stock with home made headers so i could run the exhaust in the frame rails. I built a home made adapter to mate a t18 behind it with a d20. I'm running d44's, the front was redone with chev knuckles milled and drilled, with ford hubs. the c's were ground off and clocked at 10 degrees negative caster. i'm running hydro boost out of a astro van with some sort of master cylinder that i found in pmaddy's build thread. i picked it up. poured over it with a set of calipers then said to hell with it and it bolted right up. i'm running an inline aluminum power steering cooler to try and disperse some of that heat in the little enigine bay. the cage is 1 3/4 dom. i got a soft top for it and i'm waiting for my new ebay window seals to arive and i can finish that off. plus i blew the head gasket in her today so i'm tearing into that in the morning. i'm try'n to take it out on it's first trip on thursday so i'm bust'n ass. all i got is drive way shots. and i think i've rambled on long enough ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sweet! I will never grow tired of the timeless classic flat fender - stock or modified. They all look absolutely bitchin'!
What are the specs of your green machine?

Here are my 2 trucks, the blue one is supposed to be a 52, but I'm not sure. The green one I picked up in May, supposed to be a 53, but again not too sure of that. The green one is sitting on a 69 Wagoneer frame with Dana 44's, no drivetrain. If anyone could help me ID the years of these trucks It would be appreciated. The blue one has a ribbed roof if that helps.
EDIT: I guess it's more primer than green, it also has the original oak strips in it.

would post info of my jeep here but I got a thread for it going already so I will just post my favorite picture of it. I got on this snow mound with no 4x4...mainly because I have no front drive line.

I suppose that one day I should bet a Willys of some sort and start a project. My dad worked for Willys Overland till sometime in the '50s when he left for Champion Spark Plug. Not too sure what he did when he worked for WO but I know that he worked in the engineering test lab for Champion.
Maybe this unofficial forum will be the push that I need. Gus

fixedlinks, see post above
73 fj I can tell you both were 4x4 from the factory and came with a 6cyl. you can tell by the deeper indention in the fire wall. The one without chrome is older. Probably 52-53 depending on the front end. the one with the single chrome/stainless strip is at the very least a 57. another indicator is the black steering wheel and single large round gauge hole. This was used from 57.5 - 64, although the stainless trim and high roof line suggests 58-59 Call Paul at Willys america. He can help identify it for sure
