52 willys crawler

I thought I would post my build and rebuild here on Pirate4x4.
A short introduction. Im in Texas DFW area. I love to fabricate, wheel and make a fair living on the side work I do in conjunction with my regular mechanic job I have. My Jeep started off as a stock 52 Willys I purchased out of a field for $200.00. Most all of the part, tabs and brackets were fabricated in my shop .

This is the start of my build. Was to be a trail rig only. A few of my wheeling budies convenced me that this is not my true personality. So a few changes were made.

Here is where the changes starts. I purchased a set of front Rockwells and Mohawked them as soon as i had them all stripped down.

While waiting on parts and overtime $$$ I started on the wheels. I made them from the 10 Duce wheels I purchased with the axles.

The design. Sorry but hard to see.

The cut out.

But, then I was

Now I see the reason for the super long frame. Are you going to stretch the body and/or fenders/hood to match or keep it shorter for tire clearance?

I like the Texas 2 piece wheels, they came out very nice, looks beefy did you add a PVC insert for dual beadlocks?

Everything's BIGGER in TX

Yes I used the inner beadlock. wheel base will be 130''. I will tube the back half of the frame. yes the frame looks really long (was realy long) but as they say its easyer to cut off then add back. So left things a little longer.then trimmed as needed.

And yes things are bigger in TEXAS Had to build this to fit me. Im Nearly 6'5and 245lbs.
