yj pedals in a cj2a

I just received my yj clutch and brake pedals off of ebay. I have read about guys using these pedals in a flatty, but have not found any pictures of the mods they do to the pedals, bracing of the mounting bracket and the firewall. If anyone has any pictures or advice on this, please post it.

Thanks

I cut about 5 or 6" out of them to fit in my '42. I welded a 14ga square reinforcement plate on the engine side of the firewall for extra strength.

Thanks Brian,

I have been debating on cutting and welding like you did, or to cut at the bottom of the pedal, rebend the end, and then weld the peldal back on.

Did you brace the top of the brake bracket (back to the dash)?

I found this in another willys thread, thought it might help someone else out looking to hang pedals:

Hope that helps you out some. These are cheap and fit well.

No. It all hangs from the firewall.
