47 willy build

I have been work on this for a few weeks now.
Still dont know on the motor i have a 454 and a 5.3 ls but was think on a 4.3

the trand an sm465 with a 208 adaptor i resplined the out put shaft to mate the dana300 to it.

Picked up a set of rockwells a few days ago just debraking them now and make some wheel brakes for it. I wast it to be street legal

The frame and cage is 1 3/4 .120 wall i still have a lot to do on the cage.

There going to be 4 seets so the kids could ride.
I made the cage so i could put the stock windshild frame back on if i want.

And the body has a 4" strech

I made some hinges were the stock tail gate will go back on.

hey man you'll never brake a shaft with those tires!

I like the way you did the frame.

That is a big axle.. Holy crap. Think those axles will weigh more than your chasis. Good luck.

Those are 2.5 ton rockwell axles. The are from big military trucks (the ones with 3 axles). They weight about 800lbs in stock form.

Keep posting pics on the build. I'm building a 42 right now.

Been working on the body its 18ga.

and started the front end the rear going to be 4 link and the front 3 link to get it to set low enough to be on the street.

The back of the cage still needs to be tyed in to the frame.

the weather getting nice need to get to work.

Nice work!....question on the tub upper rim? looks like 3/4" square tube for the top? did you use a square tube die or cut slits in the back side and shape it?
