Big Aluminum Radiator in a Wagon w/ PICS
I decided to put an aluminum radiator in my wagon after if kept overheating. The wagon has a mild 400 smallblock, but the summer heat has been too much for the old radiator. So I ordered an aluminum radiator from summit and spent a day putting it in. I wanted the biggest radiator I could swap in while still keeping my stock headlights.
to give you an idea of how it sits in the engine bay ![]() ![]() Time to cut the headlight buckets ![]() I patched it with some 16ga sheet ![]() BFH+Vise=sheet metal brake ![]() A little grinding and it fit pretty good ![]() Added some tack welds and called it good ![]() ![]() ![]() Also had to cut a little off the bottom of the radiator to clear the steering box
