2012KOH Sculpture set to be auctioned to Save the Hammers Stolen during the KOH.

Torchmate’s Lincoln Experience KOH Sculpture set to be auctioned to Save the Hammers Stolen during the KOH.

A six-foot tall plate metal sculpture, which was to be auctioned to raise much-needed funds to help Save the Johnson Valley OHV Area, was stolen before it could go to auction. Torchmate CNC Cutting Systems and its parent company Lincoln Electric built the 250 lbs. steel sculpture with the help of the public during the King of the Hammers event which consisted of over 200 individual plate steel pieces cut on site at KOH featured a four foot tall steel hammer perched atop a three foot diameter steel crown. Funds raised would benefit ORBA which planned to donate 100% to the SavetheHammers.org campaign to stop the 29 Palms Base expansion. If you know the whereabouts of this meaningful sculpture please send us a private message.

Wtf is wrong with people? It was for a good cause and people have to ruin it by being immature.

What the Hell are people thinking. When was it seen last? I saw it by the media tent after the race when I was dropping off a tool bag one of the buggys dropped after wrecking ball. I think it was when the the girlfriend of the guy in the yota was on camera telling us how they were doing. God that pisses me off.

Can we start a PayPal donation to create a new one? Any idea in he cost of materials?

I know it wouldn't be the original thing... but I have a feeling its long gone.

I'm in for $50 as well.

No one steals a 250 lb sculpture by themselves, it took some help.

More than one person, the more likely it is someone will talk.
