Cabin and Storage Trailer Burglarized on Periman/247 in Johnson Valley
Hi everyone,
I wish I would have joine this forum under different circumstances. However, I wanted to put the word out about 3 motorcycles and a ton of tools that were taken during a burglary of my cabin in Johnson Valley. This cabin has been in my family since 1960 and this is the first time we have ever had any problems. It happened sometime in the past few months, I discovered the ransacking on April 25th. The bikes taken were: 1984 Honda Big Red 3 wheeler with a buggy whip on the back as well as a tow hitch and front and back racks. 1984 Honda TRX 200 with a buggy whip and front and back racks. 1970 Honda CT-90 Trail Bike yellow in color. All bikes were in working order and were extremely clean, no cracks in the plastic and all 3 needed keys to start them. They didn't get the keys because I had them at my house. The tools taken included: Red air compressor Framing nailer Socket sets Socket set in blue metal box with "Jessica" written on outside Levels and other carpentry tools Large red tool box Large black Stanley rolling tool box Like green cooler Numerous hammers, screw drivers, etc Skill saw in case Dewalt recriprocating saw in case Skill corded drill in case Etc. These bikes and tools belonged to me by way of my deceased mom and grandpa. Any info or if you see them in the area please let me know. I will post pics later. 714-471-9869 Jessica |

Yea, according to one of the locals in JV, things have been really bad out there lately. I still can't believe that this happened. I'm sure all my stuff is long gone but I thought I would pass the word just in case

That sucks Jessica. There has been allot of stuff getting ripped off lately. It seems the tweekers out there are getting braver. Allot of stuff got stolen on the lake bed during KOH with thousands of people around. I hope you get your stuff back or if nothing else some revenge.

I just talked to my neighbor that lives at the beginning of Periman full time. She said that two tweaker named Tim and Jim are squatting in a cabin off of Joshua Tree Rd. I'm headin back out there soon and will be checking out the area. I didn't have the opportunity to do it on my last trip since we spent all weekend trying to secure the cabin with no tools to do it with.
If anyone else has any leads please let me know. I have a good feeling that it is someone in the area. |

Wait....... tweakers / squatters / Joshua Tree?
We have a cabin on JT but on the west side of 247, sounds like your on the east? Sorry for your loss, but can only hope they stay out of my area. We were struck some years back by a POS from Lucerne. It's a bad, bad feeling but can only hope karma strikes em back. I'll tell my family out there to keep the eyeballs open a little wider. Good luck! |

i might be shunned for saying this, but the only good stories i've read about tweakers are the ones in which they died trying to pull out live copper cable. there's not enough dead tweakers.

We just came back from wheeling this weekend. Our friends had their gas can stolen off trailer during the night. Another group had all their dirt bike gear stolen also.
Keep all your stuff locked up, there are some thieves out there who are not afraid to go into your camp at night.

Ahhh, yeah it shouldn't be to hard to bait them. Tweakers luvvv tools (we ran demo and the low end guys always stole gas and small tools)
I was hoping to see better news about JV cause I don't check in here very much. After reading the other posts about theft in JV I would be armed if I was out there with my family or even with friends in low numbers. |
