What is your fuel expense to JV?
It's going to be high this year.
Last year it was $110 round trip for the toe rig and $80 for the rig. I figure if we bitch about it now, it won't be so bad when we have to fill up! |

$1100 roundtrip in the old gas pig towing last year.
With the new diesel I'm hoping $6-700 Wish I lived closer... anyone have work for a fabricator, blacksmith or industrial electrician.

If I come down I-5 or 99 (and not 395) through Bakerspatch, Tejon, Gorman on to Hwy 38, I figure its $750 round trip. OO-EE that hurts. It was a lot cheaper when I lived in So Cal, not No Cal.
regards, as always, JR (the elder)

for me it is about $60 for the tow rig. but I fill up for about $100 and I always fillup before going. when I bring the Jimmy out I spend about $100 for the weekend on just that. Not too bad.I am only 100 miles from the hammers.

I left yesterday from Tacoma, Wa. picked up a jeep cherokee, hauled it to Las Vegas for a customer, it paid $$$$$. Going to pick up my buggy in Fresno tommorow, going to the hammers til' sunday then hauling a hendrix chassis north strapped to my buggy, it pays $$$.
My fuel, rooms, food and entire trip is paid for and then some. ![]() ![]()

Just occurred to me... I spent less $$ in 2-1/2 weeks in Europe, including roundtrip airfare for two, a few years back, than I did in four trips to the west coast last year.

I guess I don't have it so bad, about $75 in diesel and maybe $30-40 in gas. Just starting to use propane so not sure of my expense on that yet. It's a fuel, right?

Cost me about 80 to fill my three tanks, I'll go through 2 1/2 of them in a good weekend.
