Don't they have enough roon to train at 29 palms and China Lake?

Look on a map of California and you'll see large tracks of land near Johnson valley that are already reserved for Naval/Marine use, namely 29 Palms Marine base and China lake Naval base. Since the marines are technically part of the Navy can't they just train at china lake if there isn't enough room at 29 Palms. Also , there's Camp pendelton which is huge as well. Those 3 areas combined are like the size of my home state(CT), what else would the possibly need?

No, there's not enough room on these bases. I don't think you understand how much space it takes to conduct realistic training. Do you really think they're looking into expansion because some one just happended to get a wild hair up their ass?
