For all that desire to attend, I recommend that you meet prior to the public meeting as discuss a strategy of how you want to engage in the meeting.

Specifically, if you have some burning issues that are of high importance to you, ensure that you exchange your information with others.

Perhaps you will find supporters that can continue the discussion after your allocated comment time has expired.

Coordinate to achieve maximum exposure.....

Are you heading up there from down here or will you already be up there? The wind has been a b*tch lately so riding my motorcycle up there will be a pain.

About 200 people were in and out during the 5 hour open house style meeting. More residents than recreationalists, but a good showing from FOGR. Mike Opper from FOJV was there, as were Harry & I from PFJV. After a brief welcome from Roxie Trost, BLM, and a Colonel from the base, everyone went from station to station for one on one sessions with the BLM and the Marines. There was a Field Rep. from Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt's office there, and Brad is expected to be at the meeting in Victorville tonight.

All of the attendees and the presentors were very professional, open and friendly, and people seemed to be able to get their questions answered.

We will be at both meetings in Victorville. I expect that the evening meeting in Victorville will be the largest of the three.

Just as Helen said...

It was friendly, professional and very informative.

However there was a hand full of OHV haters (COW), greenies/Sierra Club, and alternative power reps floating around as well.

Ok, If you did not attend last nights meeting, Here is the comment
form that needs to be snail mailed to Roxie. The PDF version is
generally a bit more printer friendly.

This Particular form should Only go to Roxie, Other comments should be
written to your Reps or use the Pirate 4x4 letter generator.
