Well, since our new pres wants less military I'm wondering if the expansion will ever go through.

I asked that same hypothetical question to one of the top brass reps at the public meeting in 29 Palms. His response was..."Wouldn't matter."
Then I asked...Wouldn't or Shouldn't? He then said "Well...most likely...Wouldn't."

I'm hoping the same thing your thinking. But I'm not banking on it in the slightest.

Yup.

Cool thing is, now we have more of an idea of our audience. This issue is ultimately going to a Senate/House vote. Senate & House are gonna be controlled by Dems. Dems & new administration have a big interest and mandate to "correct" this economy, provide new jobs, etc. We can use this in how we sell it. This industry supports jobs, revenue, and spending that benefits American companies, American small businesses, American towns and communities, and American people. they cannot be outsourced. Sure, we could buy some parts from Japan, Germany, etc. but 99% of us wheel within THIS country and spend our $$ supporting US businesses. We need to hammer this home.

Obama is also a big believer in community, grassroots organization, and people on the ground stepping up and making their voices heard. We're already doing that, we need to do more of it and highlight it to our representatives. Highlight this and the other things we do as our strengths and make sure it's done in a positive light.
