Bloody hell, this is spot on, eh wot!
I grew up bouncing around the Welsh Breckon Beacons in a 70's series 2....have loved them dearly ever since. Dad still has a Series II on the farm in BC, uses it every day. I'm a Jeep guy now, but I will always love Rovers, and hope to have one one day |

Land Rovers are definitely kick @$$!!! I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm poking around in here. A while back I was looking to get either a landcruiser or a land rover, and I ended up with the old cruiser wagon. Maybe I'll get the rover later in life...
Now how about some pics? The only rovers that I have seen, are the rather tame, yuppie suburban soccer-mom rigs.

Great to see a Rover board up. My wife and I just added a 2002 Disco2 to our fleet. She used to have a built 95 Disco and wheeled the hell out of it. We will now start buildig the new one soon as cash allows and I am sure she will wheel the hell out of this one.

Alright!!!
I get busy for a bit and can't visit the board and when I get back, we have a Rover forum!!! Woo Hoo!!!And for those not in the know, I have a D110, a D90, and a Rangie Classic. I'll be a bit slow this week on the board, but all is well and the D90 is having a blast in the snow on it's new 37" shoes!!! -John

Glad to see this section of the forum go up; I wheel regularly with Rover guys and they're a fine group of people, as long as you don't make the "wine and cheese" standard jokes and ignore their "best 4x4xfar" comments!
I'm here 'cause I really like Rovers (well, old series Rovers, lightweights, Defenders, Forward Controls, F101's, Rapiers, Wolfs, Vampires, Carmichael, Dormobile and Short conversions, Sankey trailers, early Rangies, all military Land Rovers and most pre-Freelander Rovers) and want to learn more about them. In the meantime, my rig of choice is a somewhat-modified FJ62 Toyota Land Cruiser I brought with me from Venezuela (to the US). Looking forward to good discussions! |

Finally a Rover forum on here! I'm really a Jeeper, but I do have a Disco II. Just got back from Moab a short time back and the Disco towed my TJ perfectly. Helluva nice tow-rig! I'm still looking for a D-90, anybody got any leads? Not one of them purdy ones, i'm going to wheel it...

I have a series, and a disco, and a rangie, and a 110 in parts, and a major parts addiction. I like the series the best, the disco is the bane of my existance.
Good luck getting that ex mod 110 in Cali If you are looking for one and just want to drive it over for farm use or whatever go to: www.rock-island-rovers.com I just got a couple koenigs from this guy. Seemed nice and on your coast unlike britrest. Ron
