anybody confirm a rumor?
I know Greg was selling his big Ford F350, but now I hear that he's selling the D90 too in order to make way for other projects. Something like $50k or so. Is this really true???
Is he going to the disco darkside??? Or maybe he's just trying to get out from under the thing before it completely falls apart on him. I know he beats the snot outta that thing! -j

50k, good lord thats allot of money. If somebody buys any D90 for 50k they got some serious cash to throw around.

Selling the 90, haven't heard that? In CO this past summer he had his DII on the trail and was not impressed at all with it so I doubt he's going to the so called "dark side" solely. Were did you hear such a tale?

REALLY!!!??
Greg and I have had this discussion many times. His D90 is his advertising and flagship of all his products. SG must be in financial hurt right now for him to do that. He's mentioned selling it a few times though. Build the buggy and sell the 90 to pay for it. Makes financial sence on the surface, but his truck draws a lot of attention at just about every event he goes to...Heck it's in every mag almost every month. Bad move if you ask me. --D

I hear ya' man...That's why I hate the guy so much...Kyle and his little cronie followers jump on his bandwagon too...Fawkin wanabies. They even got kicked off the D-90 list about a year ago for slinging soooooo much crap around. I don't think they have an original idea in their collective mush pot minds.

Yeah, I can't imagine him selling it as well since it's such a well known rig. I would think that Safarigard would have enough cash around to build a rock buggy and keep his D90, but I don't know his whole situation.
I heard this little tidbit through a friend of a friend of a friend, so I don't put much faith in it, but I was just curious since if he wants that much money, he must be pretty confident that the rig is going to hold up for the next owner. I'll bet it's just that: a rumor. especially since he was selling his tow rig for about that price anyway so someone probably just got confused. You know there are quite a few non rover people who would look at his website and get something as stupid as that confused. And if he is selling, maybe he wants to knock off a few grand and I'll buy it! Or maybe he wants to trade it for a cherry 89 Rangie with a spun rod bearing?? Anyway, here's hoping it's not true!!! -John

Greg does keep his rigs meticulously maintained...If anything ever goes/starts to go bad on it, he and his guy's are on it immediately. That goes for every nut and bolt on the thing. If I were in the market for a tricked out 90, and had that kind of cash, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. AA yellow 90's fetch a pretty good sum stock...And his is about as far as a 90 can go while maintaing all of the stock drivetrain (sans axles).
