OK,it’s decision time. What do I do to the suspension on my 98 Disco. Objective is to fix the right side list (appx. 3/4”), gain a bit more body clearance, improve the ride and handling.

A: Used but good stock springs with 1” lift spacers (Already have the spacers)
B: OME Medium duty springs
C: OME Medium duty springs with 1” lift spacers
D: Big Blue 2” lift springs (from D.A.P.)

Note All of the above include replacing the stock shocks with the new ProComp ES9000 I already have.

Do you want travel & trail flex or plush-ride mall cruzer suspension ??

If it's the latter, prepare for moderator action here and then go visit dweb.

With OME springs you won't fix the listing problem. They are set up to compensate for drivers weight.
Go with RTE springs and you will get an even ride. They come in 2", 3" and 5" heights. www.rovertym.com
Dweb is down once again and is about useless for tech anyway.
P.S. If you do a seearch I'm sure most of this info would have come up anyway.

I dunno about disco's, but on my 85 RRC the rear right top spring mount appears to be 1 inch higher than the left. With equal length springs the vehicle lists one inch to the right. But mine was originally LHD and was fitted with springs on the right which were two inches taller than the left. Thus listing the vehicle one inch to the left.

I stuck a 30mm spacer under the back right spring foot and it has cured most of it. I'm still unsure whether the front right spring mount is higher than the left, measuring everything I could think of hasn't proven anything. My vehicle is 60kg heavier on the right hand side, this could be the diffheads which don't affect the list.

A good way to check is to jack under the front centre of the chassis, then measure the rear spring mounts from the ground. Jacking under the rear towbar (hitch for the americans) will let you check the front.

This will at least let you know if the springs are the problem or not.

90% on road use so I want a controlable vehicle which will not shake parts off my body. However, a some what stiffer ride is acceptable to accomodate the 10% off road and trail time. As said the objective is to fix the right side list (appx. 3/4”), gain a bit more body clearance, improve the ride and handling.

If you're going to get springs don't get big blue's they suck. I hate spacers but that's just my $.02. I'd rather have more flex. What length are the pro comp shocks you have? I wouldn't expect any of the modifications you speak of to improve ride and handling useless you shock or spring are shot. i would def. go with a rovertym spring and maybe some better shocks i haven't heard every good things about pro comp shocks but it has only been from non land rover applications.
