How come you're starless Jim?
Actually, I have been searching & researching Diff Pegging after a couple queries from customers...learning a lot. There is a lot of good tech in the archives.

"Finally" checking in...
Hello fellow Pirates (if is not ok to call you a Pirate, flame on)
Like most other newbies, I have been lurking for quite some time and I have finally decided to post. I will get a subscription soon so I can start posting some pictures and start a thread on my project. As you can see, my user is cumminsrover, but you can call me that or Patrick. I decided on cumminsrover because I am wedging a Cummins 4-BTA into a Hybrid Series Land Rover (S-III, S-II, S-IIA). As everyone's projects I was going to start out simple and quick and dirty, but as I started working I realized that I should take the time and a bit of extra effort (money) to do things right. So now I have been working off and on for a while (more off than on), I am finally making some progress that I would like to share. I won't have portal's like 4Mogger on his 4-Runner, but I plan on making a street-able Rover that I can crawl with. When I get a bit older I can make something crazy, but for now I need a replacement for my current truck and something to satisfy my desire to rock crawl. I am looking forward to future conversations with you all, Patrick

I'm not paypal friendly, Rob. I sent a check in and had a star for a year. But trying to make the effort to pay for another year proved to much for me. OS and Lance have little patience for slow pays like me.
Get er' on the road cumminsrover. JP

Newbie checking in
I like the up-front style here. Unlike Discoweb where they invite you for tea, then talk shit about how you hold your cup. This NorCal mountain kid feels comfortable in the company of assholes

Jim;
Thanks, I have been checking it out for some time and really enjoy the information. I think Pete's hybrid project pictures have inspired me to begin thinking about my excess parts. I guess I need to stock up on multi-colored Krylon paints to really fit in. Mark |

Been lurking for a while, decided to register. I have a 91 RRC Hunter edition. I like to build stuff, done most of the stuff on my rover. Sometimes it comes out good other times its a bit trashy. Poor college student with plenty of time and no money.

Hey peter, whaaaaat's happenin'?? Another lurker, 95 disco R380 5 spd, so far i've just hacked the bumper a little and slapped on 245/75's, I might've hit the truck lottery last weekend after some dickwad hit my driver's door, and also it's tax return time. If all goes well i should have 2+ inches of lift with the seldom talked about ironman suspensions and a home made bumper to mount my winch to. i'm a very broke coastie but i'm enjoying wrenching on the POS. that's all.

checking in. I've been lurking for a while and it's time to get signed up. I've got a lightly modified DII with mostly bolt ons. 3.5" RTE, 32" bfg m/t, etc. Just finished building a rear bumper for it.
For those who know him, I met Timm Cooper on a Rubicon trip last summer and it got me thinking...now I've got plans for an FZJ80 axle swap for 35/37"s and some other goodies this summer when I've got school off. Stay tuned... btw, while I'm posting. I've got some high-res photos of others from a rained-out pirate4x4 memorial day 2006 event to Moon Rocks, NV. I'd be pleased to share them if anyone is interested. -Josh |

Well, I didn't read the directions.
Been into Rovers since I bought my first '94 DI in 1998. Got it stuck wheelin' alone then decided to join www.SoLaRoS.com in 2000. Even more addicted since. Built up the DI until the suspension was more capable than the body. Stripped it down and parted it out to other Rover lovers so I could start my new project, as chronicled in, /forum/land-rover/547642-project-iia.html . If you want to go wheelin' or Rover Lifestylin' with us, just let us know.
