n00b checking in. Tony Sims, resident in NW Orygun, have a '92 RRC County with a few bolt-ons. Still more to do, my direction is more overland expedition than rock crawler.
I mostly do my own work, partly because I'm cheap, mostly because I'm a perfectionist and I nitpick so much that no one wants me for a customer after the first time. Then again, if you can't do shit right, you shouldn't be charging for your work. Plus my dad is a TV repairman, he has an awesome set of tools. Cheers,

Checking in. I'm in Jackson Hole WY. I've had this rover for a few years now. I sold it to a fella who couldn't wrench. He sold it back to me with new rubber and shocks. Now I'm going to bring it up to snuff for the wifey. I'll try to keep the noob stuff to a minimum. Thanks-JJ

You my friend, probably are not dolphin free. Give us wrenching drama with your inquiries or face our wrath.

New to this forum, checking in.
Hi, Have had Rovers for about 20 years, I now drive a 1971 IIA Hybrid, 84 inch wb, 3.9, no electronics, tilt nose. When I figure out posting photos I'll put some up. Very interesting reading, thanks. Paul from Methuen, MA

Welcome to the short bus waiting room. You ever ride with BSROA ? Sounds like quite a rig. How'd you come by the 4" chop on the wheelbase ? I have a somewhat similarish vehicle '78 SIII, 3.5, portals. It would be great to see your truck out on the trails. Cheers, Richard

Hi
Hi Richard & Red Tuna,
I used to belong to BSROA years ago, it wasn't good at the time. I have belonged to a few others but have found I don't have the extra time to do too many organized off road runs. I made my hybrid with an 84 inch wb because I wanted to cheat and be shorter than most. The turning radius is amazing. I want it to be good on the trail but not too extreme, It is my daily driver so I don't want to hurt it. I do have 2 ARBs to install the next few days. I'll post more photos when I get them uploaded. Thanks for the welcome, ![]() Paul Last edited by Paul / Methuen; 05-16-2007 at 06:10 PM. |

"Antique" -- I love it! In Wisconsin our equivalent is called a "collector" plate, which is a name I hate. Makes you seem like Jay Leno or something, stockpiling Rovers in the garage and saving parts and buying backups and spares and oh wait....
