maybe the amplifier?
I was wandering if the ign amplifier is bad can you still coax the vehicle to start(lots of ether to compensate for low spark)? because I am having a starting problem have crappy spark the truck gets harder and harder to start what do you guys think? I didnt know if an ign amplifier performance weakens or does it just die?

When it went out slowly you could usually start the truck fine, just when the engine heated up the spark would eventually go away and the truck would die. Dowsing the AM with cold water worked for a short time to get the truck to a place where I could repair it. Actually after thinking about it a little I think it also caused intermittent starting problems as well.

Your '94 Disco should have the amp mounted on the core support. The life expectancy of the amplifiers mounted there is almost infinte. I haqve more than 200k on my '95.
Is everything else in the ignition system up to snuff? There has been a spate of bad rotors around here. Before that, it was coils. PT
