Tellico in May?
I've got a few rovers interested in heading to Tellico sometime in May, anyone want in? Last time we had a blast going up lower 2, two RRs bit the dust(CVs, blown BW x-fercases, body damage, ect)

when in May?
What's up Tis? Tellico huh? I might be able to make it. What dates are you looking at?
Do you have any particular trails in mind? I'm not sure if you heard or not, but I sold the Range Rover. I picked up a 62 series II. The Rover Club House is doing a full restoration on it now. It won't be ready to run lower 2 or Guardrail in May, but it will be able to do a lot of the other trails @ Tellico. If you guys are going to Low 2 or GR then I will probably ride shotgun with one of y'all. As of right now, my series will have the parabolic springs, and Goodyear M/t's. Whenever I see some money again I plan on protection from top to bottom, a Det. in rear, revolving shackels, a custom drive shaft, and plenty of spare axles. I could probably be ready for low 2 around the end of the summer. How's the 90 running? I still haven't found the video of us on low 2 yet. I will try and find it today. Ryan62seriesII |

Ryan- working on dates. We will prolly run the fun stuff- lower 2, 12, helicopter, slickrock, ect.
Sweet, keep us posted on the buildup! I heard about your halfshaft locking up on the road. The 90 is running well, my starter and clutch got a friggin workout in Cruces though...what do you want for your ZF auto...I'm serious. Johnathan |

Hey Tis,
I am game!! For anytime in May!!! So is Frank Avent he is doing a sweet drop system on his truck now; with Bilstein 7100 series remotes and 35's I think! Give me a call at the shop, we have Ryans truck and could probably give you a sweet deal on that ZF. The Rage Rover is good 4.11's Detroit and soon to be ARB up front so I should be good to go!!! Tis, any room for a newbie? Of course, with the wild rides that have been mentioned, I might just slow you guys down. How radical do you have to be to run those trails? I've never been, but have heard some horror stories. Remember, Winston's my daily driver!

Greg,
Come awn up and ride with one of us. Your disco could do some of the mild to moderate stuff but the trails we are planning on running will damage it. HeHe ...ask Troy about his Tellico initiation in his old disco. Something like dents in most body panels ripped off D pillar, blew out the glass in the side cargo window, ect. He drives a 90 now Johnathan PS- Jim C. is coming also |

Sounds like I had better hitch a ride. Not into the body damage just yet. Is that an over-nighter, or a long day trip? 'Cause from what I hear, if it's an over-nighter, I had better choose my ride carefully!

Bring your tent dude...clearly you haven't seen the inside of the Green Cove Motel. You could drive back out to Murphy to get a hotel but that takes nearly an hour each way.
Greg- two nites, most either take Friday off and drive up early or head up after work. Saturday is an all day affair and often has gone late into the nite, most of us have long drives back so we generally don't wheel Sunday. Johnathan |

Sounds Good
Hey Tis,
Those dates sound good, the 11th is my birthday so that's a bonus!!!!! I went to Uwharrie this weekend 12-14 and wheeled with this guy who has a monster Yota (44 front, 60 rear 39Boggers Rear, 37 Boggers Front). This guy drove over Kodak Rock and the right side of Rocky Mount like there was no obstical. You will be impressed with Rocky Mount this year alittle trick even with 35's. Lets do Tellico!!!!!!!! Guys-
Looks like I will be welding my diff back together that weekend...there are some dudes on the general board who are headed up the same weekend. I think the SOLAROS rover group is goin' up in June, so I'll be lookin' at future dates. Johnathan |
