I've been lurking around for about a week now, and after several failed attempts to register, I have finally been successful. I'm fairly new to your forum, but I must say I'm really impressed by all of your knowledge. You guys build some extreme rigs. I've got a '00 DSII that I've modified quite a bit, but nothing like some of you. You can see some pics in my gallery on DiscoWeb. I've made a few changes since then. I'm now running 285 tires, and have just finished a new front bumper that recesses my 8274 into the grill and gives me alot better approach angle. Should get it installed tonight. Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and just have patience while I soak up all of the info available here.

Nice fab work BTW

Damn, I was hoping you wouldn't notice the driveway shots. My real excuse is everyone I take with me sucks at taking good shots. There are a few of me on RoverTym's site under MAR '01 shot by Greg Hren. Plus I found out that I'm in the MAR '01 video coming down the riverbank and crossing over. Other than that, it's been a pavement pounder. Right after I got him (Winston is his name, by the way), we adopted our baby girl. Enough said there! Anyway, I'm getting caught up on the mods and things are settling down at home so he'll be seeing a little more action now. Anyone going to the Safari end of April? If so, I'll see you there.

John, I've actually been to Jim's a couple of times. He actually wants me to build a new tire/fuel can carrier for his 90. In fact, when I was there a week ago, he and his wife mentioned "Tis", so I guess that was you. Where are you located, and are you going to Uwharrie?

Greg-
Yeah, Jim is a cool guy. He helped me with my R&P and ARB install. He spoke highly of your skills and some of the gear you have fabbed. Look forward to meeting you... I will be at the Safari, probably in the DII instead of the 90. Johnathan |
