MAR 06 update
No tech, unless you count bridge building. Things look good for the event, no camping on the island though. We got the last of the projects finished up this weekend. Be prepared for lots of mud...

There are a lot of other areas people can camp. Over the last two years, at least, no one utlized the areas around the pond, on the East side. That's actually a really cool spot and 10-15 people could camp there easily.
The area near the entrance hardly gets used, either. And, I even think there is power there. And, god forbid you have to set your tent up in the woods.... I think it was 2-years ago the island entrance was under several feet of water for the first 2-days of the event. There was plenty of room that year, and I think that was a "better" turnout with something like 400+ trucks. I really don't see it being an issue. But, I've already staked a claim on my spot
