env front axle?
anyone know where a guy could get his hands on a env front axle out of a 62 to 71 ambulance, one tone or forward control?

The ENV's are pretty rare, even over here. usualy they were fitted to the 110" forward controls (NOT a 110" coil sprung)
the very early 101's had the ENV, most had the salisbury. but that still doesn't help you find one! i'll keep my eyes peeled Jamie Last edited by Diesel Jim; 06-28-2002 at 07:34 AM. |

nah Timm's running a salsbury (aka the rover 60 with birfs)
The ENV (from what I understand) is like a front eaton with a drop in 3rd member and closed knuckles (probably birfs). but big like an eaton. Very similar to the napco axles.

Pair was advertised in the back of the latest LRM (or maybe LRE) 150ukp. Missed buying a pair for $500 US by a week or two. No need now as I bought the volvos.
I have an acient parts book with them in there. I can check but I thought they were U joint axles, closed knuckle. Ron
