FJ60 with ZJ engine/tranny?
Does anyone know if a 5.2L engine and auto trans from a 98 Jeep ZJ would swap into a FJ60? Ive always wanted an FJ60 and I just happen to have an engine and trans with Atlas T-case from a 98 Grand Cherokee. Exploring my options.

Hmm. . . this caught my eye in the LR forum.
To answer your question. No. The drivetrain that you have listed requires a centered rear axle and the FJ60 has a passenger offset rear axle. Obviously you can change to something like a 14 bolt to get a centered rear axle and then run it just fine. Dylan

Thanks for the response. I have a new Currie front 9 inch axle and a junkyard 9 inch rear.
Mod mind moving this to the correct forum.
