Driveline/T-case questions

Lat year installed a RRC rear driveline in my D1. Worked great. Driveline angles look good etc.

Last week I got rid of the 3" springs with the 2" spacers the PO installed in favor of some 5" Rovertym springs. This change ended up giving me more lift. About an inch from the looks. My rear drivline angle is now questionable for a standard driveline. I was considering ordering a Woods driveline but a friend of mine suggested I drop the T-case by removing the rubber mounts and just putting in bolts instead.

Does anyone see this being a problem? It wold only be a temporary solution.
I just bought a new clutch kit a 1.4 t-case from a defender and new bead locks. The wife would kill me if she saw any more money go out for my "Toy"

By the way. if anyone needs a clutch I got mine from the UK Ebay site for $210. "$135 quid" They wanted $85 to ship it but I gave them my fedex account number and they used that instead. $300 for a Rover Clutch Kit with Release bearing, Friction and pressure plate is a smoking deal from what I found.

sounds like your gonna crack an aluminium casting some where between the engine and driveshafts. I wont take any guesses at where, but it will happen. You framerails are gonna twist when you flex the suspension and the drivetrain is gonna try to twist when you get on the skinny pedal. There has to be some give somewhere, thats what the rubber is there for.

Have you driven it yet to see if there is a problem? The way angles "look" can be decieving. If you find that you do have a problem, I can get you hooked up at JE Reel. They make the best driveshaft out there. Thats my opinion of course, but it's also fact.

I drove it and it has vibes up around 45. Its not a daily driver just a toy but I do have to drive about 10 miles from my house to get to the trail head. I could probably clearance the joint a little bit but it sounds like I need a new driveline.

Hey buck how are the prices compare to Woods.

More. But I can probably get you less. I can't do the Lane pink shaft price, but I can hook you up.

Thanks Buck. Shoot me a PM and let me know.

Anybody need a RRC driveline? I even have a complete third to go with it that has the proper flange.

A new drive shaft is much less expensive than a half ass mod that will fuck up a perfectly good truck.

whats the pinion angle compared to the DS at the rear? (a-arm extension needed maybe with that much lift?)

I have the new lower arms in the rear that are johnny jointed at the frame. The lower angle is not as steep as the upper. The a arm extension will probebly point the pinion right at the t-case which will be perfect for a DC drive shaft.
