Defender 130 Camper

I have an Ex-MOD D90 With a sals in the rear and a pickup top waiting for it at a friends place. I have been looking into chopping the tub off behind the bulkhead and putting everything on a galvanized 130 Chassis, with a custom camper box on the rear. Aside from stretching the taillight wiring, a rear propshaft, fuel tank, and 130 coils what else would I need? I have pretty much every thing planned, I just want to make sure I am not missing anything important as I have only once seen the underside of a 130.

Longer fuel lines?

Maybe a motor strong enough to haul the beast around?

Already had that figured out. Looking into an old Hino box van for a real engine. Anything else?

Unless modified, you will be asking too much of your rear axle (instead of the Salisbury)

Mine has a 2.5td engine, not fast or strong but it cruises in true Land Rover style

This 6x6 drove around the world pulled by a 300tdi. I expect a 300tdi be fine in your camper.

Including getting this truck unstuck several times.

Thats funny. A heavy gutless Landrover camper unstucking a Benz. And I thought Merc made great off roaders.
