used lift spring question?
ok got a pair of used lift springs today. they are the lucky 8 springs. the rears look like they were never installed but the front springs have been. my question is that one of the front springs is bent only about 5 degrees but it was noticeable as soon as i took it out of the box. should i go ahead and fit the springs or not. will the bend really mess the integrity of the lift up or not?

If it was me, I would take it to a spring shop if you have one local (we have two shop in Tacoma) and have then straiten it out and retemper it.
On my old SIIA I brought my originals in and had them bent, tempered and bushed at one of the shops

Should be fine. The front axle seat isn't level with the top seat as the truck is lifted.

im in houston texas. and no offense but what does left springs have to do with coils? i really want to use these springs as they are supposed to be 4.5 inch lift springs but the numbers don't add up. back in 98 i built a disco with some prototype safari gard springs and im not certain but they seemed much taller than these springs and they were only 3 inch springs.

Uninstalled spring length has little to do with lift height. Many tall lifting springs are in fact shorter than stock springs when compared side by side.
The lift comes from the different spring rate of the lifting spring. Most shops that are able to re-arch leaf springs are also able to straighten coils.......but I wouldn't bother. It would likely be cheaper/better just to buy a new spring and re-arching leafs doesn't really work.

is it for a D1 or D2?
D1 springs are 1.5"ish longer than D2 springs. (meaning that 3" d1 lift springs will lift a d2 4.5" and vice versa)
