Town Hall Meeting To Be Held In Pollock Pines on Monday, April 30th

This may present a FTF opportunity to discuss the Eldorado closures if the venue allows for it?

Anybody able to attend this party?

Might be a good venue to bring up the "frivolous lawsuits" (since that is an official topic of discussion) continually brought against the BLM and NFS that are responsible for the possible permanent closure of trails in the Eldo and the effect of same on "businesses and consumers"!!!

I was going to go, its olny 2 miles from the house. But I am in the Bay area all week so would have had to take a day off work.

I know at least one of the County Supervisors will be there, and I am sure the place will be full.

I think the topic will be heavy on the ADA issues that are affecting bussiness in town. I dont think a lot will be said about all the roads that will reamain closed for the entire year...but I could be wrong

Local businesses there and in other small communities represent some of the last main stops for stuff on the way to the various trails (or the first stops coming back).

They won't have to worry about ADA issues nor will local consumers if those businesses are no longer able to remain open due to short term or permanent trail closures in their vicinities.

We sure could use their backing along with McClintock’s!!!

Just received the ARRA monthly news letter. Of interest was the Article "Power To The People" a response by 1500 people in Oregon who showed up en masse to express their disapproval of the Travel Management Plan!! Right On!!

Here's the link;

If given more notice I would support coming out for any more Town Hall meetings about EL Dorado Forest.

Thanks Lyin' King

Thanks for trying to get involved, sorry about the late notice!

What I posted came from McClintock's office and was posted when received although there was apparently other information weeks in advance.

There is a "Friends of Eldo" group (FOE) you might join; perhaps they get this stuff quicker than I did?

Looking at his web site . . . http://mcclintock.house.gov/2012/04/...ck-pines.shtml . . . it was announced the afternoon of April 17.

It would be nice if they fired off the e-mail notifications concurrent to their web site postings so that interested parties have sufficient time for arranging schedules to attend.
