Help the Houndsmen

While we've been fighting against the theft of OHV Trust Fund monies, the Houndsmen in California have been fighting against SB1221, a bill introduced by Ted Lieu, cosponsored by Darrell Steinberg, that would outlaw use of dogs to hunt bear and bobcat.

This would devastate the hounding community. They're being targeted because they are politically incorrect, and another example of extreme organizations infiltrating California politics with their own personal agendas. Our CBD, is their Humane Society of the US, which is closely affiliated with PETA.

Many of the houndsmen are off-roaders as well, even during hunting season they use the same roads and trails as off-roaders.

They're looking for our help, and I've made them aware of our fight, and asked them for help as well in our battle.

The Houndsmen need as many organizations as possible to join them in opposing SB1221. If any club or organization is willing to register their opposition to this bill, it would help them defeat this bill. Please let me know if any of you are willing to add your group to this list, and I will send the message along.

This bill should be coming up for a vote on June 26th, and they are looking for as many people as possible to flood that meeting room. If anyone is interested in meeting some great people, great family-oriented folks whose interests are very similar to ours, let me know. As soon as I know the details for that day I will post it.
