Blue Ribbon Credit Card

Just received my MBNA Blue Ribbon Credit Card. Unfortunately I could find very little information on the percentage forwarded to BRC, but most of the programs are at half a percent of purchases. And the interest rate is pretty good at 7.9. Anyone else receive/ take the offer?

BTW MBNA also offers competing cards for Green groups

Here is what Bill Dart (BRC) told me:

"I was told we get about 2% on purchases, and this nets close to $2,000 per year to BRC. MBNA is the only company we have this arrangement with."

I called MBNA. They told me the amount donated is between 1% - 3% and I wouldn't know for sure until I get approved and my welcome packet is sent.

There is no annual fee and the APR is 12.99%

Call up MBNA and ask for a better APR, they'll come down if they think they are going to loose the account.

hmmm... I've already got an MBNA credit card. I wonder if they would just transfer that account to one of the blue ribbon cards, or if I'd have to open a whole new account.
