I just read this in the L.A. Times today!
This guy timed this perfectly, I hope this is a hit of things to come. "SAN DIEGO--Siding with off-road enthusiasts in their fight with environmentalists, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-El Cajon) is attempting to win congressional approval for a measure overriding the Bureau of Land Management's decision to ban vehicles from 49,000 acres of the Imperial Valley desert". Read the whole story here; http://www.latimes.com/news/state/20...000119556.html Call his offices and give him your support! NOW!!! San Diego County (619) 579-3001 Imperial County (760) 353-5420 Washington DC (202) 225-5672 Tell him you support the measure overriding the Bureau of Land Management's decision to ban vehicles from 49,000 acres of the Imperial Valley desert. ------------------ Kevin Flath Ventura County Axle Snappers Axlesnappers.com Quote:

Interesting article. I agree. I hope the legislative rider raises Congress attention to land use and access issues. It's about time someone brings it as an issue. I'm just wondering why the Republican-controlled Congress ignored the issue for so long up until now. The real irony of it all is that there was much more access and few reports of access issues when there was a Democratic-controlled Congress.
Take care, ------------------ Ed Q. 99 Tacoma Prerunner Arlington/DFW TX4x4 Club TTORA TX Chapter |
