<FONT COLOR="green">"An observation that came out of the recent hearings and negotiation sessions with the Center for Biological Diversity - BLM lawsuit has revealed an interesting bit of information.
Apparently, The Center for Biological Diversity printed many pages of derogatory remarks found on some OHV bulletin boards and other related sites for use in the lawsuit they filed against the BLM. Negativity of the OHV community towards the BLM and environmental groups did not assist the Intervenors in this case. Please remember that the Internet is available to all and remarks you make on the Internet are available to all. Once posted, words become part of a large archive. Those words can be extracted and used out of context to convey an entirely different meaning than what was originally intended. Freedom of Speech is a prime driver ... but don't forget your speech is open to interpretation and can and will be used out of context against you."</FONT c> ------------------ <FONT COLOR="Blue">David David's 4x4 Page No... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...</FONT c> |

I wouldn't doubt it if Sierra Club or other environmental organizations have people scouring off-road related websites on a daily basis. Thats one reason I cringe when people start spouting off threating to kick some greenies ass or something, once again just more fuel for their fire....

Maybe we should start joining those organizations and show our side but as a member of the Sierra Club. How would that be, roll into a Club Meeting sporting a fat off road rig w/ 44" tires rippin through the lot! But seriously it wouldn't be bad to know exactly what they are doing. It appears they know what we are doing.

DRM,
Did you find out anymore about this from the LUN mailing list? I'd really like to persue trying to get the statements and printouts that were used. If possible try to find out when and where these hearings took place. Then I would at least have a reference to use when requesting a document. ------------------ CAUTION |

When things are taken out of context they can turn a harmless sentence into something else. I do agree that we all need to watch what we say and keep it constructive. As far as greenies watching us I would bet on it since we have no hiden agenda, all we want is access to the National Land we pay for. Greeies on the other hand are the ones that are underhanded and sneeky. If they can't get you to see it their way then they sue you.

Most of the time you can signup for their mailing lists.
I get info from SUWA all the time. I use a hotmail account that is not associated with wheeling. Todd
