Post important poll on the Roadless rule

BLUERIBBON ALERT *** BLUERIBBON ALERT ***

Dear Subscriber:

MSNBC is running another important poll on the Roadless rule, and how President
Bush should handle it. As you undoubtedly already know, this rule was made
without sufficient time for public comment, and contains numerous subtle
but alarming threats to recreational access.

The BlueRibbon Coalition has opposed the Roadless policy since its inception
during the Clinton administration, and we continue to oppose it now. If
you feel strongly about traditional OHV and mountainbike access to the roads
and trails that, despite the title, exist in these areas, then please take
the time to vote to “Scrap entire Clinton-era rule” and start fresh with
a more reasonable solution.

Just go to the address below (scroll down for the poll): http://www.msnbc.com/news/568612.asp?Onm=N12K

Please vote as soon as possible, as these online polls tend to be short
lived.

NOTE: This particular poll divides our side of the issue into two possible
answers: “Review and revise Clinton-era rule” and “Scrap entire Clinton-era
rule.” This effectively HALVES the votes on for our side of the issue, while
those supporting the Roadless issue enjoy a single voting option. Please
help us to counter this subtle manipulation of the polling numbers by voting
STRONGLY against the Roadless rule in its entirety. We need all the numbers
we can get on this important issue. Send a strong message to the White House
that the public is NOT behind this restrictive measure!

*** END ALERT *** END ALERT *** END ALERT *** END ALERT ***
