Okay my question is in the title. I am debating about writing a paper for my english class on land use issues. It has to be 7 pages and arguementative. Has anyone done this? If you wouldn't mind if you have a paper could you e-mail it to me at Brian1@att.net so I can see what I am up against and to get some ideas.

I did a speech on 4 wheeling a few years ago. I know I used some of the information on the sierraclubs web sight to support my side. They have a section on why to be against offroading but most of it was false and was easily proved to be a lie. I lost my info when my computer crashed so I can't send anything to you.

I need some "expert opinion" If anyone is a member of a club, can you e-mail me ( brian1@att.net )with your answers to these questions: 1. What does your club do to help the enviroment/ maintain trails? 2. Any comments (very brief) about land closings Please include name of club, location (city, state) and your name. I need this ASAP please!! Thanks. [ 04-25-2001: Message edited by: Brian1 ]

I did a speech about land use issues a week ago. I used alot of example's like the rubicon, panamint (sp?) canyon, glamis, and other threatened and closed public lands. I also used clubs and thier trail cleanups and community service work as examples. I also showed manufacturer support of tread lightly. The class was spellbound, and the teacher said it was one of the best speeches she had heard in several years. This speech had a limit of 5 minutes, but mine ended up going nearly 20 minutes.

Check www.tamor.org . Its a local club created by college students. They would make a good example of clubs working to help the community. They have adopted a stretch of highway to keep clean, and do other projects. Hope this helps.

Whew! Finished! I think the paper turned out good considering the amount of time I had.
I used www.cal4wheel.org for some info. They have some good stuff on land issues. I used alot of BLM publications also that I found this morning in the library. I also used www.treadlightly.org .
