Let's not get fooled again.

As you know, The Trail Party is focused on trying to energize the off-road voter to get (and stay) engaged in the political process. Why you ask? That is because ALL land-use decisions are political decisions. And, it matters who we vote into office.

Over the last few weeks, you have seen The Trail Party take on faux conservative lobbyists and task off-road voters to hold politicians accountable.

After reading about Newt’s newest effort to appear conservative by announcing his proposal to abolish the EPA, I wanted to share my view on this person as he prepares to run for president in 2012.

As a soldier in the fight to reform the ESA and other excessive regulations in the mid 1990s, I remember that it was Newt Gingrich who blocked efforts (behind the scenes) by Congressman Richard Pombo and others to reform excessive environmental regulations.

I bring up the following video clip of Newt with Nancy Pelosi promoting Algore’s climate agenda (which has since been debunked and him disgraced by a massage therapist) and an article about green skeletons that lurk in the closets of various potential GOP presidential candidates.

My goal is to support those political presidential candidates who will appoint pro-access cabinet members and not work behind the scenes to close our historic roads and trails.

The Trail Party will be watching these guys like a hawk as the 2012 election cycle gets underway.
