Services at Loon Lake staging area ????

I will be arriving Sunday to run the rubicon and need to know what services are at the loon lake staging area? I will need to fill my RV tanks with water and take water and ice in my rig for the run. Please let me know if there is a market, gas station or what there? Thanks Owen

Nothing available at spillway. Water at Chalet or Loon Lake campground. Last ice in Georgetown from I-80 or Icehouse store from US-50.

How far is the campground from spillway? Is spillway another name for the staging area? Does the campground allow free access to there water?

Spillway is staging area, but you can also park tow rigs at chalet and drive greensticker rigs to trail during the day.

Campground is south side of lake and spillway is north side, probably 4-5 miles. Not sure if they'd want you to pay day-use fee.

You can also grab water at Ice House store, but don't know if you'd have to pay. It is about 20 miles from spillway.

Did you ever fill your RV with water at the campground? I am in the same predicament; I need to find a water fill station near Loon Lake or Ice House (preferably Wrights Lake, but...).

I thought the USFS water spigots were not for filling RVs and in fact, many of them have signs posted saying as much. What did you find there at Loon Lake?
