HI Bebe. I was thinking about the forum post: "Idiot's guide to the Rubicon".
Here is an idea: 1) Compile/ edit/ author all the relevant Rubicon info into a booklet form, copyright it (?) print & sell it (?) or maybe collect donations when booklet is handed out at the trail head or other functions? The procedes to go towards RTF and/or FOTR? This could be another sorce of funds for trail work/ education/ legal fees! The best part would be to get the "message across" to new, young or uninlightened 4wheelers! Start them out on the correct path of thread lightly & responsible use.

This is just an idea & I'm sure there are many negatives to "publishing" a booklet for fund raising. What are your thoughts & is this something that is reasonable to do? Legal ramifications? Public perception/ image presentation?

Anyone willing to take on a project like this ? Or is time/ money better spent elsewere?

Hi Ken,

There are some wider spots in the trail where that could happen, and yes people do pass each other, especially if a rig is broken down.

I think having LEO's out there is a good thing, but having 9 FT folks might be a bit overkill. I think people are just overwhelmed. And they don't like being hovered over.

PS - FOTR guy or not, I would have given him a ticket :-)
